Learn essential techniques for drawing, proportion, and composition using light, shadow, and form through clear, structured exercises. This course provides the visual foundation necessary for all future studies and naturally complements the ‘Introduction to Digital Painting’ course.

Intro to Digital Painting

Gain confidence in using Photoshop through a mix of pre-recorded lessons and weekly live feedback, while learning basic tools, colour fundamentals and effective painting techniques. This course is ideal for those who wish to move on to more advanced digital painting courses.

Learn all about the narrative elements of comics including writing dialogue, devloping characters and story structure as well as the technical skills involved in making them such as inking, drawing easy-to-follow sequential art, and using colour and shading to enhance mood.

Intro to Concept Art
Winter - Online - Mondays at 12 p.m. - Level 1
The ‘Introduction to Concept Art’ course will only be offered in VAO format (video access only) this term. This course includes recorded lessons and demonstrations that are posted weekly and can be viewed at your convenience so that you can practice the skills and theories learned in each video. You can complete the suggested assignments each week, but there will be no live classes or feedback from the instructor on your assignments.

Intro to Illustration - Game Card Art
