Step into the Major Leagues of Concept Art with The Rookies

Student Artwork by Janessa Kuek

In the fast paced and ever evolving world of digital arts, exposure and networking play a significant role in shaping your career. Whether you’re an aspiring artist or an experienced creative, ‘The Rookies’ provides a unique platform to showcase your talent, connect with industry professionals, and earn recognition through prestigious awards.

The Rookies, founded in 2009, is an international online platform that encourages and empowers young creatives across various fields like animation, games, virtual reality, motion graphics, and 3D visualization. This community fuels creative passion, offering a launchpad for its members to reach staggering heights in their respective fields. Where most other platforms simply act as galleries, The Rookies is all about reaching your goals. On The Rookies, you will find resources, tutorials, courses, lectures and a directory of the top art schools in the world, including Syn Studio!  Not only that, it gives you a chance to see the level of work that your peers are doing.  Instead of doom scrolling or watching reels of the latest trend, this is where every ambitious artist should be!

Why Should You Create a Profile?

Creating a profile on The Rookies not only enables you to showcase your work but it also opens up a world of opportunities. The Rookies has 5 rankings for artists: Debut, Player, Contender, Rookie and Pro, designed to help artists track their growth and progress. Each rank represents a milestone on your creative journey rather than a grade. Starting from ‘Debut’, each artist can ascend through ‘Player’, ‘Contender’, ‘Rookie’ and finally reach ‘Pro’ status. This system serves as a motivational ladder rather than a grading scale, encouraging artists to collect badges and certificates to elevate their status and showcase their hard-earned skills

From getting your work evaluated by industry professionals to networking with like-minded individuals and potential hiring managers – the benefits are endless. Moreover, there’s a sense of camaraderie and shared passion that makes The Rookies a nurturing space for emerging talent.

When you build your profile on The Rookies, be sure to tag Syn Studio!  That way you will be featured on our page where you will be displayed along with all of our talented alumni.
