Customer Service Representative

Part Time, Online (Onsite when required)

The position is part-time, where you set your schedule to anywhere between 26 to 34 hours a week (set at the beginning of each term) and work 4 to 5 days a week (which includes one weekend day). 

 

Languages: English and French (written and spoken)

Location: Both telework and onsite work at our school in Montreal, Quebec will be mandatory*

Start date: September 2022

Hourly rate: $14.75 per hour

The Position:

 

Syn Studio is seeking a Customer Service Representative who handles customer service and some administrative tasks. Here at Syn Studio, our customers are students who are part of our programs or are taking individual classes. This role will report directly to the school’s Administrative Coordinator.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Offering high-quality customer service (through emails, phone calls, and face-to-face interactions)
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries
  • Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints
  • Welcoming customers/students, setting up classes
  • Aiding with the organization and running of industry events as well as workshops
  • Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints
  • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Background in customer service or administration (minimum 2 years)
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate (oral and written) in a professional and client-oriented manner is expected
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule
  • Basic computer troubleshooting skills, familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe programs such as Photoshop

 

Strong assets: 

 

  • An understanding of realist and stylized art, or interest/experience in visual arts
  • An understanding, interest or experience in the film and/or video game industries
