Week 2 - Acquire the skills required to draw accurate and realistic vehicles from simple shapes by studying the proportions and angles of technical forms as well as the contrast between them

Week 3 - Gain knowledge creating organic designs from imagination by visualizing them as a combination of basic 3 dimensional forms.

Week 4 - Gain proficiency using texture and tone ranges to improve the depth of your designs, making them look more realistic and professional. Use what you’ve learned to create believable a sci-fi robotic vehicle from basic 3D modules.

Week 5 - Learn the fundamentals of successful environment sketching such as space indication, composition and atmospheric perspective. Use these fundamentals to create a fantastic landscape with architectural elements.

    Description

Do you want to advance your sketching skills and gain the ability to effectively design in 3D from your imagination? Sketches are an extremely important part of any concept art process. A solid sketch is the basic building block which concept artists use to create their characters, props, vehicles and environments. Without a solid sketch, it will be difficult to create a truly 3 dimensional concept that can be built for a movie or video game.

The analytical sketching course provided you with the knowledge of breaking down complex objects into basic shapes. An advanced design sketching process and the mastery of 3 dimensional space, shape and form separates amateur artists from industry-level professionals. This advanced analytical sketching course, incorporating exciting in-class projects, will help you understand how to turn basic 3D forms into any complex structure you want to design. Using your creativity, you will learn how to effectively draw fantastic characters in believable environments as well as creatures, vehicles, props and dynamic forms in action.

By the end of this course, you will have the ability to create accurate and believable sketches from imagination. Your knowledge of depth and form will have increased by leaps and bounds, giving you the skills to create professional designs that can be readily translated into production-ready concept art.
